In life, I seek to eliminate the inessential; to find a sense of aliveness in the essential brush strokes of life, & to dance in the vast space of nothingness along the way.
I inspire those around me to infuse their lives with spirited energy, truth, and a sense of adventure, in my journey to unveil who I am.
Occasionally, I do get lost too, and am reminded to 'let the darkness be the light; and the stillness the dancing'.
The impermanence permeating all of life resounds in the murky depths of emptiness, which first intrigued me in this chapter from Tao Te Ching:
Thirty spokes share the wheel’s hub;
It is the center hole that makes it useful.
Shape the clay into a vessel;
It is the space within that makes it useful.
Cut doors and windows for a room;
It is the holes that make it useful.
Therefore profit comes from what is there;
Usefulness from what is not there.
And a quote from Tsongkhapa relates this to life, where 'Emptiness is the track on which the centered person moves.'
Impermanence culminates in death; and only when we learn the art of dying, do we begin to live.
On a side note, one of my indulgent pleasures is to learn about everything I stumble across !
